The new EU VAT rules will come into force on July 1st 2021 - read below.

There are a lot of changes happening across EU that concern online sellers like us and also customers who buy outside of their home country. We feel it is important that customers know, how it will affect them.
What will change?
Starting July 1st 2021, the VAT rules for sellers offering goods to consumers across all EU (cross-border business-to-consumer transaction – B2C) will change. Online sellers will charge the customer a VAT rate of customer’s own country (country where goods are delivered) instead of the VAT rate of seller’s country.
We are a business registered in Slovakia and our local VAT rate is currently 20% on regular goods – Therefore the displayed prices you see on our website are including 20% VAT by default.
(i.e. product with price of 120,- incl. VAT consists of 100,- € base item price + 20,- € VAT)
Our base product prices (VAT excluded) will remain the same – what is changing is the VAT that we have to charge to our customers based on their delivery address.
To see the prices with correct VAT rate applicable in your country we recommend you to log in or enter your shipping address on the cart or checkout page – our system will automatically show your applicable prices on our website.
Therefore from July 1st 2021 you might start to see a slightly different price during checkout once you enter your shipping address. For example customers from Germany, Luxembourg, Romania might see slightly cheaper prices due to the lower VAT rate of their country, while other customers might see slightly higher price based on their shipping address.
The benefits of these changes
- Consumers will know that when buying goods online from outside or inside the EU, the VAT rate will be the same like when they would buy in their home country – the new rules make sure that VAT is paid where consumption of goods takes place
- EU businesses will have a fairer environment and overcome the barriers to cross-border online sales – as a result customers across Europe will benefit from improved business competition and will have access to more goods and services
- EU consumers will not be surprised anymore by unannounced parcels from non-EU countries for which they will be charged high extra taxes.
